PAPER SUBMISSION AND PROCEEDINGS:
Contributed papers should be written in English and must follow the formatting guidelines based on the ACM Word Template for SIG Site (http://www.math.admu.edu.ph/~raf/pcsc07/cspformat.doc).
These papers will be peer-reviewed, and if accepted, these will be published in the Electronic Proceedings (https://sites.google.com/a/dcs.upd.edu.ph/csp-proceedings/) of the 10th Philippine Computing Science Congress (PCSC 2010).
Qualified papers may be considered for publication in the Philippine Computing Journal (PCJ), the official journal of the Computing Society of the Philippines.
Contributed full papers in PDF Format must be submitted electronically via the conference submission page at or via computingsoc@gmail.com and copy furnished hnadorna@dcs.upd.edu.ph

The 6th Philippine Youth Congress in Information Technology (Y4iT 2008) is organized by the University of the Philippines Information Technology Training Center (UP ITTC), UP System IT Foundation (UP SITF), and the Student Volunteer Corps (SVC), in cooperation with the Philippine Society of IT Educators (PSITE) and the Computing Society of the Philippines (CSP).Y4iT 2008 will be held on September 2, 3, 4, and 5, 2008 simultaneously at three locations: the University Theater, the UP Film Institute for the Main Event, and the UP Ang Bahay ng Alumni for the Y4iT Sponsors Exhibit, all in the University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City.

SMACS 2008 is the fourth meeting on the mathematical aspects of computer science that will be held in the Philippines organized by the Computing Society of the Philippines. The first was in 1997 (UPCB), the second was in 2004 (UP-Baguio) , the third was in 2006 Adventists University of the Philippines.
The symposium is divided into two parts: a workshop and a seminar.
The workshop (4 to 6 August) will run during the first three days and will consist of lectures on fundamental areas of computer science which are mathematical in character. The lectures will be synoptic and tutorial in nature and will cover topics from courses that are sometimes offered as upper division undergraduate courses.
This year's tentative topics are:
The seminar (6 to 7 August) will be held in the last two days. It will consist of paper presentations on researches in the mathematical aspects of computer science. There will be invited talks on the current and still potent area of mathematical aspects of computer science.
SMACS provides a venue for teachers, researchers and graduate students of Computer Science, Computing, and Mathematics to share and upgrade knowledge on areas of Computer Science which are mathematical or theoretical in character.
Location: The lectures will take place at the University of the Philippines-Cebu Colleges. The campus is located at Lahug, Cebu. Cebu City is known as the "queen city of the south" in the country.
